How to Activate USB over Ethernet Connector [Linux]

What’s a software activation

A software activation helps verify whether you are using a legal copy of the program and that it is not being used on more computers than the license terms allow.

To use USB over Ethernet Connector for Linux after the expiration of the trial period, you will need to acquire a license. Once it is done, you will receive the activation key via email which you can later use to activate your software copy.
Note: Activation is required for USB Network Gate Server Module only. You do not need to register USB Network Gate Client Module (which is installed on the client machine).

Regular activation

To activate USB over Ethernet Connector for Linux, your computer has to be connected to the Internet.
1. Start USB over Ethernet Connector for Linux.
2. Select Help –> Enter registration info from the main menu.

3. Insert your activation key and hit OK.

Offline activation

If your computer does not have an Internet connection, you will have to perform an offline activation.
1. Repeat steps 1-3 of the instruction above.
2. You will see the following message:

3. Select “Activate manually”.
4. Carefully read the instructions and select “Save activation info”:

5. Save the .activate file.
6. Copy this file to a flash drive and transfer it to any computer with Internet access.
7. Open this page.
8. Click “Browse” to load the file and click “Submit”.
9. Download the resulting file and transfer it back to the PC without the Internet.
10. Repeat step 1 of this instruction and select “Load activation file”.

Lost activation key recovery

If for some reason you have misplaced your activation code for USB over Ethernet Connector for Linux, visit this page to recover it.

License migration

To activate USB over Ethernet Connector for Linux on another machine, you will need to clear the previous use of your activation key.

Insert your activation key here to release your current computer from the software activation. After that, you will be able to use your activation key on another computer.
